Week 4/5 - Blog Activity

1. In your literacy book, write the date, miss a line, then write the heading 'Current Events Article - New Tool to Keep Kids Safe Online'

2. Read the article and watch the YouTube clip

3. In your own words, write 2 or 3 sentences that explains what this article is about.

4. Write 5 questions about the article for someone else to answer. (You will need to include the answers too).

Week 4/5 - Fill in the Gaps (Cloze) Activity

1. READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING  IN YOUR BOOK
2. Date, underlined in red
3. Miss a line, write the WALT - WALT choose the right word so that the sentence makes sense.
4. Miss a line, write the title of the activity.

Fill in the gaps activities are useful to practise reading for meaning/understanding, knowing the meaning of words, and thinking critically about which words make sense. They are often part of Reading tests, such as the PATs and STAR reading tests.
